Micro‑Coax AccuPhase cable assemblies provide precision test and measurement interconnects for high‑frequency systems from DC to 70 GHz. Developed within Amphenol Military & Aerospace (AMAO), they bridge instrument ports and device‑under‑test connections where mechanical flexibility and phase stability are critical.
Design and Construction
Each assembly uses an internally ruggedized flexible coaxial core derived from the UTiFlex heritage design employing ARACON braid shielding and a helically wrapped silver‑plated copper outer conductor. This combination balances mechanical durability with electrical stability, resisting phase and amplitude shift from motion, bending, and temperature variation. Ultra‑low‑density PTFE dielectric options further minimize loss at mmWave frequencies.
Variants
The series covers multiple frequency grades to support varied laboratory and field needs:
- AccuPhase 26.5 GHz – enhanced mechanical protection for routine production and validation use with excellent crush and torque resistance.
- AccuPhase 40 / 50 / 70 GHz – progressively higher frequency versions, each maintaining tighter phase and amplitude tolerance under motion. The 70 GHz model features ARACON® outer braid for maximum stability and flexibility.
